AGU in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings
Abdullah Gul University (AGU) is among the best universities (101-200) in the 2019 and 2020 Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings.
In 2020, AGU was the only Turkish higher education institution rank #101-200.
In 2021, Abdullah Gul University (AGU) achieved international success and became the only Turkish university to be rank in the 101-200 range of Times Higher Education’s University Impact Ranking for three consecutive years. In 2022, Abdullah Gul University (AGU) was ranked among the top 300 universities in the world in the 2022 Impact Rankings of Times Higher Education, one of the most prestigious ranking organizations. In addition, AGU ranked 29th globally in the “Quality Education” category.
Based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), AGU was included among the world’s most successful universities in this ranking, in which 1,406 universities from 106 countries participated.
AGU received excellent scores in the following SDGs: “4-Quality Education”, “11-Sustainable Cities and Communities”, “12-Responsible Consumption and Production”, and “17-Partnerships for the Goals”.
This new international recognition reflects AGU’s strong emphasis on “social impact” since the university’s founding in 2010. Ago In The Worry World’s Universities With Real Impact Ranking
AGU participated in the newly launched WURI – “World Universities with Real Impact” ranking, created by the Hanseatic League of Universities, HLU, of which AGU became a member.
In this inaugural edition, leading US institutions Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology lead the overall ranking of innovative universities, where AGU appears:
2020
41st position and represented as the only Turkish institution.
AGU is ranked 10th in the “Student Mobility and Openness” category, recognizing the innovative and rich AGU internationalization practices and mobility opportunities.
2021
AGU WURI was ranked 27th among the world’s top universities in the 2021 ranking.
In the first edition of WURI’s Crisis Management category, which was also added as a result of COVID-19, AGU repeated this success globally and took second place. The university also ranked 6th in student mobility and openness.

Abdullah Gul University ranked 23rd in the Global Top Innovative Universities ranking in the WURI 2022 ranking, which evaluates world-renowned universities such as Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, etc.
Among the world’s top universities in the WURI 2022 ranking, AGU was ranked 23rd, up 4 places from last year’s ranking, which was created by the Hanseatic League of Universities to assess universities’ actual contribution to society. .
AGU won the 2nd position in the categories of “Crisis Management” and “Student Mobility and Openness”. For the first time this year, AGU has also been ranked 50th in the Industrial Application and Ethical Values categories. Additionally, for the third time in a row, AGU has entered WURI’s Top 100 Universities list as the only university in Turkey, achieving considerable success for the country.
